Congratulations Carrie! That's great! I'm happy for you.
Thank you. I use to wear almost all vintage clothing until I lost weight. Nothing fits now.
I know how you feel. Since I have been losing weight everything seems to slip off of me now. I am wearing some sweat pants today that use to be tight on me and I find myself having to pull them up. I may be making a trip to the thrift store soon myself. For me it's a great feeling after having been so heavy for so long.
Tricia,if you've gotten really tiny, it's important to remember that vintage sizes run differently from modern ones. If you're a 2 now, you might be a 6 in the 1960's. Also, you can shop by decade. In the 1920's and the 1970's, they used to cut clothes smaller than in other decades. (Remember, each decade has its desired idea feminine shape.) And also remember: the tailor is your best friend whenever you lose a lot of weight.
Brian, I'm so pleased to hear you've continued your weight loss journey. It's a wonderful feeling when clothes slip off like that, isn't it? I recently lost 10lbs in 2 weeks. My secret? Remembering to eat breakfast, avoiding sodas at all cost, and opting for organic foods whenever possible! It's changed my life. (Still got 30lbs to go, but I'm working on that!)
I just decided I need to shed 10 lbs, by the end of the month. When I quit smoking three months ago, I gained almost twenty pounds in two weeks so, I'm determined to burn it off and get back in shape. Doesn't really have anything to do with the post, but yeah. Hang in there team. It's tough, but we can be a support team. ;-P
You're right, Andrew. I have polycystic ovarian disease. For most people with my condition, it's practically impossible to lose weight. But if I can do it, I know most anyone can.
Just keep the good cheer, guys!
That's a very good news. I visited the page and your profile on helium, though I am not a member there. making into the first page is really great. Keep writing
